When I came home from work, there was a cat sitting on my fence, meowing loudly. I decided to feed the animal, and judging by the way he devoured the food, he hadn’t had a single crumb in his mouth for several days.

It turned out the cat was blind, which made it really difficult for him to find food on the streets.
I fed and gave water to the cat, then decided I couldn’t leave him outside, so I took him home.
The next day, the cat and I went to the vet. The doctor diagnosed a complete absence of one eye and the presence of a second eyelid on the other. To help that eye see, it needed treatment with eye drops.
A week-long course of drops brought no improvement.
Together with the cat, we visited five more doctors. Each prescribed different treatments, ranging from vitamins to antibiotics. Three thousand rubles were spent just on injections, which had no effect.

A month of struggle yielded no results, and I came to accept that the cat would remain blind. At that time, someone recommended a good vet, and I decided to try one last time.
The doctor insists on surgery. First, the empty eye socket needs to be sewn shut, as it can become a breeding ground for infections. The other eye also requires surgery because its eyelid is infected.

I believe this cat can be helped, so I began saving money for the operation. Unfortunately, I soon lost my job myself. I haven’t been able to find a new one yet, but I set a goal for myself and I’m confident I will achieve it. I will definitely earn the money and cure the cat.
