We often think we’ve seen it all and can no longer be surprised by anything. However, to be honest, we were somewhat shocked when we were asked to help this little one.
The tiny bald creature looked at us with its huge eyes. It seemed as if the puppy had only eyebrows, eyelashes, and a tuft at the tip of its tail instead of fur.
The little one had no fur at all. And it wasn’t due to any illness. It’s simply a breed trait. We don’t know the exact breed name. Perhaps it’s a Xoloitzcuintli puppy. Yes, a dog of such a rare breed is hard to find in our city.
What’s especially striking is the fact that the puppy was found near one of the hypermarkets. A family had come there to shop. The little dog was trembling from the cold and pressed itself against the car wheels.
The couple couldn’t even imagine that someone had abandoned such a dog. But searching for the owners yielded no results. The puppy was shivering with cold, looking scared and miserable…
When they brought the puppy home, it quickly became clear that she had been deliberately abandoned in a busy place. The poor pup was leaking feces from her anus. At first, it was hard to understand where the discharge was coming from. After they washed her, everything became clear.
Kind-hearted people decided they wouldn’t leave the poor dog to face this problem alone. The only difficulty was that finding a qualified specialist wasn’t easy. So they contacted us and asked for help covering the medical expenses for Pusi (that’s the name they gave her).
At a specialized center, Pusi was examined by several experienced veterinarians. It turned out that the little one had been suffering from this condition since birth. In short, the puppy’s rectum has no exit, so everything passes through her anus. Usually, animals with this problem don’t survive. But Pusi is already three months old.
The surgeon did everything he could and helped the puppy a lot. Now her bowel movements occur naturally, though still involuntarily. The condition is rare and complicated. It’s hard to make predictions. However, the doctor gave hope that Pusi could live a happy life, and we always cling to even the smallest chance.
Currently, the puppy lives with the family who saved her. Pusi faces a long struggle for her life and health. She is a very brave, patient, and strong dog. That’s why we are confident that Pusi will win this battle and be able to live a full life.
