His son pushed his paralyzed father, still strapped into his wheelchair, straight into the swimming pool.

He hoped the old man would never rise to the surface and that the company, the house, and all the money would finally become his. But he had no idea what consequences his monstrous act would unleash.

After suffering a severe stroke, the father had been left completely paralyzed. He could neither speak nor move his arms or legs. Only his eyes remained expressive, while the index finger of his left hand occasionally trembled almost imperceptibly.

The doctors had explained that recovery was still possible, but it would require time, intensive treatment, and enormous patience.

At first, the son played the role of a devoted caregiver. He fed his father, took him to rehabilitation appointments, helped him get dressed, and even sat beside him in the evenings.

“Don’t worry, Dad. I’ll never abandon you,” he would say with a reassuring smile.

But that smile appeared only when neighbors, doctors, or visitors were nearby. The moment they were alone, his expression hardened and his eyes turned cold.

Weeks passed, then months. The son became increasingly resentful of a life devoted to a man who could not even utter a word of thanks. He sighed constantly, lost his temper over the smallest things, and began looking at his father as though he were an unbearable burden.

One evening, while the house was completely silent, he opened a folder filled with documents and muttered through clenched teeth:

“As long as you’re still breathing, everything remains in your name. And I’m tired of waiting.”

His father owned a successful business, a large house, and several well-funded bank accounts. The son had expected to receive his inheritance quickly, but nothing was happening as he had planned.

Since the stroke, the old man had not signed a single document, and even the doctors could not say when—or whether—he would ever be able to make decisions again.

That was when a terrifying idea began to take shape in the son’s mind.

The following day, he wheeled his father toward the swimming pool behind the house. He glanced around carefully. No one appeared to be watching.

“Everyone will think it was an accident,” he whispered.

The father stared at him, his eyes wide with fear, as though he understood every word. Desperately, he tried to move the only finger that still obeyed him, but the rest of his body remained trapped and helpless in the wheelchair.

The son tightened his grip on the handles.

Then, with one violent shove, he sent the wheelchair plunging into the water.

A massive splash broke the silence before both the chair and the old man disappeared beneath the surface.

For several seconds, the son stood there staring at the rippling water. Then he turned away and walked off, convinced that no one had witnessed what he had done.

“This time, it’s finally over,” he murmured.

But he had yet to discover that his cruel act had set in motion a chain of events far beyond anything he could have imagined.

At that exact moment, a man finishing his morning jog happened to pass near the house. When he heard an unusual splash, he turned toward the property and saw a wheelchair sinking beneath the surface of the pool.

“My God! Someone is under the water!” he shouted.

Without hesitation, he jumped into the pool fully clothed. After a desperate struggle, he managed to bring the elderly man back to the surface and pull him out of the water before immediately calling emergency services.

Within minutes, an ambulance arrived outside the house. The paramedics acted quickly and succeeded in saving the father’s life.

When the son reached the hospital, he put on a flawless performance. His face was filled with apparent shock and grief, as though he had just learned of an unthinkable tragedy.

“How could this have happened? I was gone for barely a minute,” he told the police.

But his confidence did not last long.

One of the officers looked at him calmly and said:

“You’ll need to come with us.”

“Why? I haven’t done anything,” the son replied, his voice suddenly tense.

The officer continued:

“There was a security camera near the pool. It recorded everything.”

All the color drained from the son’s face.

The footage clearly showed him deliberately pushing the wheelchair toward the edge of the pool. He glanced around to make sure no one was nearby, then shoved his own father into the water before walking away without the slightest sign of panic.

There was no longer any way for him to deny what he had done.

The investigation later revealed that, before suffering his stroke, the father had prepared a carefully written will.

It stated that if his son ever harmed him or was convicted of committing a crime against him, he would automatically lose every right to the inheritance.

In that case, the father’s assets would be transferred to a charitable foundation, while a portion of the estate would be given to the loyal employees who had worked honestly beside him for many years.

The son had wanted everything as quickly as possible.

In the end, he received nothing.

As for the elderly man, whom his son had believed was completely defenseless, he survived because a stranger happened to pass by at the right moment.

And he lived long enough to discover that his own child’s greed had destroyed what should have been the strongest bond between them.
